Water Waves and Dispersive Equations

Water waves and model equations are central in the mathematical theory of waves and nonlinear PDEs. Although with a long and remarkable history, recent developments in harmonic and nonlinear analysis have made advancements possible in several settings. This session encompasses short- and long-time existence of solutions, small and large steady waves, as well as modelling and qualitative aspects of solutions to dispersive equations.
