In recent years, mathematicians have been working on the theoretical analysis and numerical simulations for this kind of problems. This minisymposium aims to exchange novel ideas in related topics, such as analysis of solutions, limiting absorption principle, asymptotic models, numerical methods to solve wave equations in presence of periodic media.
