Inverse coefficient problems for time-harmonic wave-type equations and for their transient and stationary variants often possess a certain monotonicity structure. Understanding and exploiting this structure for shape reconstruction, stability estimates and regularization has been a very active field of research in recent years. The minisymposium focuses on innovative contributions in this direction, considering both theoretical results and numerical algorithms.
