This minisymposium focusses on the behaviour of solutions of nonlinear dispersive equations for large times. There is the fundamental dichotomy of global existence vs. blow-up in finite time. In the first case, one aims at describing the asymptotic behaviour of global solutions, such as scattering or resolution into solitons. In the second case, the objective is a precise description of the blow-up behaviour, including stable blow-up mechanisms and threshold phenomena.
